I am back with my CASE for week 2 of this weeks Muse at the CASE Study Challenge blog. This Muse this month happens to be...wait for it...me! I am so happy to be playing along with everyone this month. Although, I think I much prefer CASE-ing others over myself. ;o)
This week Chupa chose my original card found here. I was inspired by the lack of color and muted tones as well as the large embellishment. I drew from that inspiration and came up with this:

I do love the unconventional palette for a Holiday card, and it just makes me feel happy when I look at it. Hopefully you do to. I used Mehndi Medallions and the blossom Spellbinders die to create my focal flower. LOVE how that turned out. I will definitely be doing that one again soon. ;o)
I'd love to see you play along, head over to the CASE Study blog for details. Thanks for visiting me today and have a great one!
Project Supplies
Stamps: Mehndi Medallions, Classic Christmas, Filigreed Frames (Wplus9)
Ink: Tattered Rose Distress Ink (Tim Holtz/Ranger); Versamark; Pretty In Pink dye ink (Stampin' Up!)
Cardstock: Papertrey Ink
Patterned Paper: Stampin' Up! *retired collection
Other: All Occasion Label die; Top Note die (Stampin' Up!); Mat Stack die, twine, buttons (Papertrey Ink); lace trim (Simplicity)
This is the best *unconventional* Christams card that I've seen in a long time!
ReplyDeleteBeautifully soft & homespun look, the dimensional doily flower, the pinks, the distressing... heaven!
I hope you'll grow to like the challenge of CASE'ing yourself, Dawn :)
