Lovely & Kind Birthday with Kara

Hey Guys! Kara here today. I know that holiday card making is in full swing, but we can't forget about those December birthdays. A co-worker of mine is celebrating a birthday next week and I needed a special card for her.

I decided to mix the new Happy Gang and Bold Banner Greetings. Happy Gang is such a "cute" set, but it doesn't have to be strictly so. Using just the balloons and sentiments and pairing it with a more sophisticated set, like Bold Banner Greetings, gives it a completely different look and feel.

I created a frame using the two largest rectangles from the 4 Bar Stitched Rectangles die set.  I stamped the balloons with a monochromatic color scheme. Since I only had four colors but 5 balloons I mixed Little Piggy and Shell Pink together to get a shade in between them.

I hope she likes it! I need to make a few more birthday cards this month. One of my nephews and both of my parents have a December birthday. My parents' is the same day if you can believe it!
