Hey Sweetie Shaker Card w/Joni

Hello Everyone, Joni here sharing an easy fun male card using the new Sucker For You Die.

To begin, I first die-cut my card base from Kraft cardstock with a size of an A2 card. Then I die-cut a white cardstock and vellum using the stitched scallop from Sunshine Layers Die.

Next, I die-cut the fun pieces from the Sucker For You Die for the focal point of the card.

I created a standard shaker card from the base, and adhered the sucker pieces to the front of the vellum. To fill the shaker, I used the star confetti from Pretty Pink Posh, glueing a few stars directly to the vellum on the inside. This way some of the stars will stay up and the others will fall down for your shaker.

And here's another look at the finished card all assembled.

Today we have the very kind and talented Jennifer McGuire sharing several projects with us featuring our newest collection of dies - the Stitched Details Dies. But, we kind of have an extra special treat as she's giving us a two-fer. As I mentioned, she's created quite a few projects and will be sharing with us how to create this little darling here.

Stitched Details Dies - Sucker For You

Hey all! I've got more to share with you today featuring our newest products!

These dies are so simple, yet so cute! Again, their size lets them easily become the focal point of a card. Today I created a duo of 4 bar cards that allow these suckers to shine.

I die cut the base circle from red cardstock and then layered the swirl that I die cut from glittered cardstock on top. To create the glitter cardstock, I just smeared some Multi Matte Medium onto white cardstock, sprinkled glitter over it and then burnished it with a bone folder. Super easy! I then die cut the lollipop stick and bow and adhered them as well with Multi Matte Medium.

I die cut the sentiment twice from white cardstock and then again from the diy glittered cardstock and adhered them all one on top of the other. To pop up the sentiment, I used a little bit of Kool Tak clear foam. I want to make a whole bunch of these in rainbow colors!

I've mentioned how well all of the products in this collection work together already. But my next couple of examples really showcases it.

I decided to use the smaller heart from Plush Friends Pup to create a heart shaped sucker.

I die cut 3 of the hearts from red cardstock, stacked them and stitched them together with white DMC Floss. I added a sentiment to the center from the Sweet On You die and finished it off with a stick and a bow. Again, how cute would these be in a rainbow of colors?

And just in case you thought it couldn't get any cuter...

How adorable is that? The suckers are sized perfectly to work with the Plush Friends Pup and Panda dies! Yesterday I shared the assembled pup, but today I wanted to use the pig option. I simply adhered the the littler critters to card bases, cut off the excess at the bottom, put the sucker in their hands and added the "I'm a sucker for you" sentiment to their bellies.

No special tricks or techniques needed. These are so easy to use and come together effortlessly!

Stitched Details Dies - Plush Friends Pup

Hey guys! Today I wanted to share a couple of projects with you featuring our newest little friend - Plush Friends Pup...or pig.

If this little cutie looks familiar, he should. He is also featured in stamp form in our Friends For All Seasons: Summer set. But, since he is in die form now, we can swap out his nose and he easily becomes a pig too! I'll have more on that a little later, but for now, I wanted to focus on him as a pup.

What I really love about these dies is their size. Die cut, assemble and you have a whole card front. He measures in at just shy of a full A2 card - which means he also fits into a standard A2 envelope.

I decided to use him as designed, holding the heart that he comes with. I die cut all of my pieces from cardstock and then did a simple straight stitch all the way around his body - I stitched his hands on at this point also, this way they are attached without being glued down. I won't be attaching him to a card base, so I will be making the heart he's holding my "card". His hands actually hold the heart in place and it can be removed and inserted freely.

I folded a piece of card stock in half and partially die cut it with the heart to create my notecard. I die cut another heart, decorated it with the flowers included in the set from felt and adhered that to the front of the partially die cut one. This creates the heart notecard that will hold my message.

To finish off the pup, I glued his nose and ears in place using liquid adhesive. For his eyes, I opted to use Nuvo Drops in Black vs. die cutting them out.

Now this die set is incredibly versatile. We can already use it to create a pup or a pig. We can use the hearts to create stand alone note cards and create floral embellishments.

But...you can also use just the accessories in this die set to create a completely different look and style altogether.

Sigh. If you've been visiting long, then you know I love a good dark card base with colorful florals. And the folk art lean this has - it's everything.

I cut several of each floral element from our wool felt. I also used one of the cactus flowers from Stuck On You as an accent. I added Stick-It to the back of black felt and then die cut the large heart. I arranged everything onto the heart and then hand stitched everything in place with DMC Floss. I didn't do any fancy stitches, just simple straight stitches. But when viewed all together as a finished project, it looks much more "complicated" than it really is.

I adhered the heart to a black 4 1/4" square card base and added my heat embossed sentiment from the Basic Labels stamp set.
