Metallic Watercolored Peonies with Joni

Hello Everyone, Joni here sharing my watercolor metallic card featuring the Modern Peonies stamp set.

To begin I stamped the images on a watercolor paper. Then watercolor the images from the Modern Peonies stamp set using Prima Metallic Semi - Watercolor Cake. It gives you a vintage feel when the color dries.

Next, I distressed the white card base with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Dried Marigold. For the sentiments I used "friend" from the new Basic Greeting Die and "happy birthday" from Modern Peonies. I die cut "friend" from gold foil cardstock and the "happy birthday" was white heat embossed on a brown strip of cardstock.

To finish off the card, I adhered everything using foam tape for dimensions. I also added some rose gold sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

Fresh Squeezed With Kara

Hey guys! How've ya been? It's Kara and I'm back to share a card with you today. This card design came together because, honestly, I wanted to make a mess!

I tend to keep my designs clean and simple, but these new Summer Citrus sets have me thinking of splashes of juice! I went through my WPlus9 stash and came across Milk & Cookies. These adorable bottles can be stamped to look like they're full of more than just milk. The fresh squeezed flag stamp in the set is perfect for this card too! I wanted the straws to look like they were inside the bottles so I stamped the rim of the bottle on them as well as the juice at the bottom. This way when I placed the straw on the bottle it didn't look like the straw was in front.  Adding the vellum over top adds to the look of the straw in the bottle. The juice is stamped in Hayride Dye Ink.

Now, I set aside my bottles, flag, and a few accents from Summer Citrus, and got on with the mess.  The best way I know how to create the look I was after is with Distress Inks.  I like to rub the ink cubes onto an acrylic block or craft mat and spritz it with water. I dipped my cardstock a few times in the Mustard Seed, drying in between. Once I was happy with that, I added some splatters with the Spiced Marmalade.

I added a few small black dots with one of my all time favorite little stamps from the Dream Believer stamp set.  I accented those with small black enamel dots.  I positioned my juice bottles on my card front and then went to work on my sentiment.  I loved the 'We're just better together' sentiment from Milk & Cookies.  I stamped it on a label cut with one of the new Basic Labels dies.  I added the Basic Greetings die cut 'friend' to finish it off.

Dimensional Petunias Pattern with Yana

Hello friends! This is Yana and I hope you are having a fabulous week!

After sharing a dimensional stamped pattern with Southern Summer Florals in this post, I wanted to try out this idea again, and stamp additional dimensional patterns using other florals from my stash. I haven’t used Petunias in a while, so I picked the Petunia Builder set for this card.

I started working on this project by stamping 5 of each images (I planned to use 5 clusters for the card) using various colors of ink - shades of yellow, pink, blue and green. I went with a classic color combo, but these obviously can be stamped using any other colors you like.

Instead of using white paper for my stamping, I stamped images and later a background onto WPlus9 Oatmeal cardstock - I wanted to change things up a bit and use something other than white. If you’ve never tried this - give it a shot, the result will be quite different.

Next, I stamped a background using one of the images from the Borders & Backgrounds 1 in Shell Pink ink color and foam mounted it onto an A2 top folding card base made out of the same Oatmeal cardstock.

I grouped images into 5 clusters and foam mounted each onto my background forming a pattern. To add additional interest to my background I used Nuvo Drops in Gloss White and added white enamel dots onto each of the pink stamped dots on my background. Finally, I added a white heat embossed sentiment that reads “It Takes a Long Time To Grow An Old Friend”, using the Modern Anemones stamp set and Basic Greetings Die.

Ink colors used to stamp images:

• Pinks: Little Piggy, Sweet Gelato, Cranberry Crush
• Yellow: Wild Mango, Pumpkin Spice, Coconut Husk
• Blue: Lake House, Falling For Blue, Nautical Navy
• Green: Last Leaf, Appletini
