Combining Old & New with Joni

Hello everyone, Joni here sharing a project today that combines old and new stamp sets. I combined the newly released Garden Buddies with an old time fave Happy Harvest. Sometimes, with so many new stamp sets releasing, we tend to forget to use the old ones that we used to love. With this card I also used the Garden Buddies and Happy Harvest Companion Dies.

I started by distressing a white cardstock panel using Distress Ink in Frayed Burlap for the ground and Colorbox Ocean for the sky. For added interest, I added some dots using Copics for the ground and a few "flicks" to create some grass. I stamped the sunflower image from Happy Harvest directly on the card panel as well the sentiment.

The girl and and boy from Garden Buddies were stamped onto a separate piece of card stock, colored with Copics, and then die-cut with the companion die. Same goes for the wheelbarrow.

I adhered each one to the card front using foam tape for dimensions.

VIDEO: Beautiful Bouquets and ZIG Clean Color Markers

Hello and happy hump day! Today I wanted to share a little experiment that I did while participating in The Daily Marker's 30 Day Color Challenge. Are you participating? You should, it's fun!

I had a blast creating this. As I mention in the video below, I was not sure up front if it would turn into a card or not. But I wanted to play around with and get to know my ZIG Clean Color Markers, so I turned on the camera just in case.

I stamped and heat embossed all of the current images in our Beautiful Bouquet series and went to town with a little (or a lot) of color. I love how the images look all stamped together and can definitely see so many other techniques applied to this. Gonna have to try some of them out soon!

I changed my mind a lot throughout this one. Did you notice the wardrobe changes? And polish changes? But, like I always say, it is almost always salvageable. I walked away several times, worked on other things, and revisited when I had an idea. And in the end, I'm really happy with how it turned out!

VIDEO: Scene Building with Kelly

Hello Crafters! Today's card was a bit of a struggle for me. I think we all have cards like that don't we?

We start crafting and one thing right after the other starts going wrong. But, I think I persevered in the end. You tell me ;)

I love one layer scene cards, but sometimes they are a bit of work. That's one of the most frustrating things when one layer cards that go wrong. All that work! Well folks, I don't start over so you can watch the entire struggle in the video below. Haha!

It wasn't even close to what I had in mind when I started but I think that any card that has that dog on it is adorable. I may have a small obsession with puppies. Maybe.

What do you do when a card starts to go astray? Do you pitch it or struggle through? I find sometimes when you roll with it you end up with something you love even more :)
