Hello Crafters! Can you believe Christmas is 3 days away?!
You'll be proud of me though, I knocked out my Christmas shopping. All of it. One weekend and about 6 coffees later I finished it.
Now wrapping is a whole different story...
For today's card I wanted to build a scene with the Drummer Boy set. It's one of my favorite sets. I just adore these sweet images!
Typically my go to is a one layer card, however, I really wanted to try the "star ray" night sky. Since I was trying it for the first time I knew it would be easier to just concentrate on the sky without out mixing in a ton of masking. Plus it gave me an excuse to use the Mountain Border Die :)
I combined Tim Holtz Distress Inks with Wplus9 Shimmer Spray and white acrylic paint for the sky. This gives a really pretty dimensional look. The hills were also colored with Distress Ink but I had to go in with a Copic marker to make the hills a bit darker.

I don't always utilize those coordinating dies, but man, it sure makes arranging a scene super simple haha!
