A Day Late

I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day yesterday! I have one last Mother's Day card to share with you all.

This one went to my little sis and features my all time favorite technique - masking.

I stamped my sentiment first and then covered it with rectangle cut from a good old post it note. From there I added my flowers using Folk Art Florals

When you are all done, just remove the mask to reveal the finished product. For a little something extra and to emphasize the break, I added a scored line above and below the sentiment.

So what would you say is your "all-time favorite technique"?

  1. Love how you created this! So beautiful!

  2. Love this technique...beautiful card. :)

  3. This is simply beautiful, Dawn! Favorite technique, huh? Hmmm...I love heat embossing because it just has that WOW factor. But Copics & Watercoloring have to be right up there at the top!

  4. beautiful Mother's Day card...Love your masking...great design

  5. So pretty, love the bright happy colors too. My all time favorite technique would have to be stamping my own backgrounds.

  6. Gorgeous and I love the final touch of the scored line.

I'd have to say that paper piecing is my favourite technique although I often curse myself for all the fussy cutting it involves! :D

  7. Simple, yet stunning. Favorite technique? I seem to go in phases with techniques. Right now I'm putting glossy accents on everything and anything!

  8. Gorgeous card and I love the bright colors you've used!

  9. Now that is a fun idea! Love the score lines and all the white space!
