Today I wanted to share a couple of easy ways to incorporate watercolor into your Holiday cards.
And...I went with something non-traditional and graphic.
Watch above or in HD at YouTube
GASP! Yes, I know, I know. It is something other than soft florals. Who knew? :)
The first set of cards features bright colors and bold imagery. By stamping the images from Twenty Fifteen in Distress Ink and spritzing them with water, I was able to create some wonderful bleeds of color with very little effort.
The second set of cards featured in the video are much softer and almost ethereal, yet still very graphic.
For these cards, I used heat embossing and a simple watercolor wash to create patterned paper to die cut the Stag Trio Die from.
Typically, watercolor is not something that we think of using when it comes to mass production. But these two designs are perfect for showcasing this popular medium.
And, although very different, both sets of cards feature many of the same supplies!
Always fun stuff Dawn! TFS
