Hey guys! Today I have a few projects to share featuring more of our newest products releasing on August 5, 2014.
I ended up doing a lot of experimenting with techniques for this release. I just turned on the camera and went with it. So I have several videos to share over the next couple of weeks. One of the techniques that I messed around with was this watercolored galaxy background.
I think it works perfectly with our Lucky Stars stamp set. And I just love this stamp set. The sentiments lean a little towards dark humor and are perfect for those "true blue" friends.
This is another easy technique very similar to the background wash featured in yesterday's post.

For the next card, I wanted take it a little more feminine, using a color combination of Miami Spice PURE COLOR Dye Ink, White and Gold.
I started by covering a panel in Miami Spice ink using a blending tool. To get the "water spots", I splattered Copic Blender Solution on it using a paint brush. I chose to selectively ink the sentiment and fill in the "you" by using the Hand Lettered Thanks Die.
I wanted to keep this one on the serious side and stamped the "I can always count on you" sentiment on the inside.
And finally, I wanted to do something a little more clean and simple, but still free flowing.
I do love how this one turned out! Even though there is a lot going on - watercolor background, embossing paste, heat embossing, stitching, sequins and mist splatters - I think the simplified color palette keeps it in the clean and simple genre. No?
What do you think? Are the sentiments pushing it a bit? LOL I know there's got to be some of you out there with a twisted sense of humor like mine!
We've got not one, but TWO opportunities to win the Lucky Stars stamp set!
