More Inspiration with Jinny Newlin

Jinny Newlin is back with us today with 2 cards to share. Her first card is a fun one featuring the Birthday Basics Die and the Whole Lotta' Happy stamps and dies.

I feel so very lucky to have Jinny creating and posting for us so soon after delivering her newest little bundle of joy. And apparently her mojo isn't being affected at all by a lack of sleep. This birthday card is packed with fun, from the background stamping to the woodgrain package, this card is delightful! I also think the color scheme that she's chosen makes this a great masculine card. Be sure to stop by Jinny's blog for full details on this card.

Let's switch gears and take a look at a beautiful Easter card she has to share with us featuring Easter Blessings.

Jinny's combined several sets to create this soft, yet vibrant feminine card. This is a great example of you can combine several sets and dies together. And the little lamb border at the bottom just kills me, SO cute! You can find all of the details on this card on Jinny's blog.

Birthday Shaker with Jinny Newlin

Today we have a special treat from Jinny Newlin. I always look forward to seeing Jinny's work. It's like she some how manages to pack a little bit of herself into each design. It sounds corny, I know. But it's like that favorite pair of jeans, there's always something so comforting and genuine in her creations.

For this card she's combined several of our newest release items. I love the little shaker envelope that she's created using the Vintage Envelope Die. She filled it with several sequins and stamped die cuts using the Whole Lotta' Happy stamp set and companion die. The Conversation Bubbles Die was a great way to add the sentiment and still allow the contents of the envelope to shine through.

Be sure to stop by Jinny's blog for full details on this card, and while you are there, don't forget to leave her some love!

Release Day is also Group post day. It's the day that I get the pleasure of showcasing the Design Team with their final parting release projects. Are you ready to see what the ladies have to share today? I know I am! I had a few extra cards left over that I didn't share during the release, so I'll be joining as well.

Dawn Woleslagle

This card was inspired by stationery that I ran across and just couldn't get out of my head. I remembered the snowflakes in browns and golds and just knew that Folk Art Flurries would be perfect for it. I decided to pair it with the sentiments from Strictly Sentiments 3 and Heartfelt Holiday. I love how complex the design seems, yet how simple and clean the overall effect is.

Hannah has floored me. Floored me with this masterpiece. The wreath she has created using the pine cones and pine boughs from Merry & Bright is simply amazing! And the distressed wood background from Dockside Backgrounds is the perfect backdrop. And even though it is not meant to be, look at how nice the large bow from Silver Bells looks stamped on the die cut from Under the Mistletoe!

These girls are KILLING me with their talent! Talk about a stunner! I love the bold contrast in color Jean's created here. The start white mistletoe die cut from Under the Mistletoe against the background. The color choices for her fruit and flowers is amazing, and I love the shadow stamping of the laurel wreath from Heartfelt Holiday that she's added to encase it all. She has two projects to share with you, so be sure to click on her name to visit her blog!

Jinny's style is always so down-home and comfy. You know what I mean? I love the little felt stocking, the little house in the wreath and the mix of fonts she's created by mixing the sentiments from Silver Bells and Heartfelt Holiday. Oh and that blue stitching! It's those little eclectic mixes that really makes Jinny's style.

Kerrianne is sharing a classic Christmas centerpiece with Merry & Bright. Notice how she's drawn the eye in and down to the sentiment by placing the larger flowers on the outside of her arrangement creating a visual "v". You can't help but be drawn down to the sentiment where it's perfectly anchored with a line of bling.

Man! Sarah is the Queen of Tags! Here, she's used Heartfelt Holiday to create the super cute yet "grown up" tags. I love the bright colors mixed with her soft shabby style.

Oh, how I wish this was a wrapping paper! I'll take it in treat box form though! Savitri has mixed the foliage images from Woodland Wreaths and Silver Bells to create and all-over wintry patter. The little embellishment on the box handle is adorable!

And that officially concludes our October/November 2013 Release Week festivities! Thank you so much for joining us. And again, thank you for the encouragement both in comments and emails. You are all so amazing! And I can NOT wait to see your AMAZING creations!

More Design Team Inspiration with Jinny Newlin

I hope you have been enjoying all of the wonderful inspiration that Jinny Newlin has been providing over the last several days. She's back to wrap up with a couple more creations that I'm sure will love!

Her first card today is full of fun.

Just check out how she's combined Fanciful Feathers and Borders & Backgrounds 2 in her background stamping. Notice how she's used the feathers as the birds tail feathers?! LOVE!

Also, using the banner from Basic Banners to emulate a nest is a perfect touch.

Jinny's final card today is actually a gorgeous unisex monogrammed stationery set. It makes me so happy to hear how the ladies are utilizing Monogrammed to create stationery sets for friends and family. I know that, for me I didn't even realize how *much* I needed this set, until I had it.

Jinny's created this wonderful nautical stationery set for her brother. Let's face it. Men are not great at remembering any occasion, much less to send a card. So this all-purpose set would be a great gift, whether they're late, or on time...whether it's a thank you note, or a birthday wish. Include the envelopes and a set of stamps...and they really have not excuse! LOL

They look so pretty all tied up with twine.

Jinny has more details and photos of these projects to share with you. Be sure to let her know that you stopped by!

A great big thanks to Jinny for all of the creativity and inspiration over the last couple of days. And thanks to all of you for joining us. Be sure to check back in just a bit, as we have a double feature today. Hannah will be joining us for her first round of projects shortly!

See you soon!

Dockside with Jinny Newlin

Hey, hey, today is your lucky day because Jinny Newlin is back to feature the Dockside collection! She's got a couple of amazing projects to share with us and I get the privilege of sharing them with you.

First up? This super fun, not to mention creative, little number. A pocketful of nautical fun!

From the amazing background stamping to the little details like the seagulls and anchor button, this card is A.MAZ.ING!

Her next card is equally as awesome. Talk about using layers to perfection. I am always intrigued by the way Jinny uses each layer of her design in a meaningful way. Each element adds to the overall finished design, yet nothing becomes distracting or over embellished.

Fanciful Feathers with Jinny Newlin

Today Jinny Newlin is joining us to share some inspiration featuring Fanciful Feathers. She has a completely different take on this set than I've seen thus far and I'm excited to feature her projects today.

Her first card is a beautiful display of how amazing the Fanciful Feathers Companion Die looks when cut from watercolor paper and watercolored.

Next up, she's showing off how beautifully this set can be used as an accent. The patterned paper she's chosen with hot air balloons works wonderfully with the feathers and the sentiments from Fanciful Feathers. I love the way she's created such perfect balance by her precise arrangement of elements and color placement.

Stamps: Fanciful Feathers // Dies: Fanciful Feathers Companion Die, Scalloped Border // Cardstock: White, Kraft

Want more details about these cards? You'll have to head over to Jinny's blog where she's got the scoop and more detailed shots as well. Be sure to let her know that you stopped by!

Fresh Baked Treats with Jinny Newlin

Jinny Newlin is back with one last featured post using Fresh Baked. And she has cooked up a little something for us that looks delicious.

I am seriously so impressed by this display of color. I am usually a "neutral - with a pop of color" kinda girl and find it difficult to make this many vibrant colors work well together. But not Jinny! These colors compliment the retro images in Fresh Baked fantastically.

And of course, if your card is touting something "fresh baked", you might just be handing over something fresh from the oven. Fresh Baked along with Timeless Tags 2 has got that covered. Such a great set for cards and gifts, as Jinny has shown us today!

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you are having a fantastic week!

Sweet Daughter Layout with Jinny Newlin

Design team member Jinny Newlin is back today with a fresh and summery layout featuring products from our new release. I always, always, always look forward to Jinny's layouts. She never fails to incorporate product in the most clever ways, without it looking forced.

Seriously?! Can it get any cuter?! Love the cascading of flowers across the page and the little overflowing piles. And how perfect does Blanket Stitched Blooms look with that skirt?

But I guess it is kind of impossible not to have a cute layout with a face like that, huh? See what I mean about clever and never forced? Notice how Jinny mimicked the flower brooch in the upper left hand corner of her photo frame? She's carried the checkerboard pattern from the skirt down to the die cut letters in her title. Even the tag shape that she's used for her journaling mimics the curve in the cardigan. Told you, l.o.v.e.

As if the layout wasn't enough, did you read the journaling? Jinny made that dress?! Say what?! Talk about talent!

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you enjoyed! Jinny will be back again tomorrow with more for us!

Design Team Inspiration with Jinny Newlin

Design team member Jinny Newlin will be with us over the next few days featuring products from our new release. Jinny has a homespun, bordering on country style, so I was extremely excited to see what she would do with Quilt Prints and Paisley Patterns. She did not disappoint!

Such a gorgeous card, and her color combo is perfect. And how clever to use the "Get Well" sentiment with the umbrella image. Goes along with the old saying "feeling under the weather" when someone is sick. Why didn't I think of that?

Jinny's next card is just as fabulous. Just check out her background stamping!

Aren't they amazing?! Be sure to stop by Jinny's blog for more details on today's featured projects, and leave her some love while you're there!

Thanks for stopping by!
