JUNE 2016 RELEASE: Friends for All Seasons: Summer with Maureen

Hi there, it's Maureen here for day two of the WPlus9 June release. Today I'm sharing a card using the adorable new set - Friends For All Seasons: Summer. This is the next installment in the Friends For All Seasons series, illustrated by Stephany Zerbe. And it is so cute!

AVAILABLE JUNE 5, 2016

Friends For All Seasons: Summer
4x6" Clear Stamp Set
$15 USD

FFS: Summer Companion Die
Steel Rule Die
$14 USD

This set is filled with adorable images and sentiments, and although that little dog may be the "star" of this set, I couldn't resist using the kites to make a super CAS card. Notice that the kite has the outline image and a solid image. This made it quick and easy to add some bright pops of color!

I paired the kite from the set with a couple of oldie but goodies. I used Happy Birds to add in some stylized clouds, and a little border action from Borders & Backgrounds 2 compliments the other images perfectly.

Repeatedly stamping accessory images in a stamp set is a great way to stretch your stash. While the kite is meant to be an accent, here it becomes the focal image. And the beautiful rainbow of WPlus9 PURE COLOR ink pops against the black and white.

There are a lot of great products to introduce this week. I can't wait to see what the rest of the team has created!

VIDEO: Intro to Summer Blooms

Hello and welcome to Release Week! That's right, it's time to share all of the new products we will be releasing on June 5, 2016. Over the next week, we will be sharing tons of inspiration and ideas featuring all of the new goodies. And let me tell you, it's a great release! Actually, I am seriously excited for the next several releases.

But today, I want to give you a closer look at a new builder stamp set - Summer Blooms.

AVAILABLE JUNE 5, 2016

Summer Blooms
4x6" Clear Stamp Set
$15 USD

This just might be the easiest and the most versatile builder stamp set I've ever used. I know that many of us love the look and options that builder sets provide, but many of us also have trouble using them.

Not these! They are so fun and easy to mix and match that you really can't go wrong. Almost every image is interchangeable, build-able and also can be used alone. In today's video, I'll share some of the many ways you can mix and match these images.

I really do love these images paired with those bright cheerful colors.

But you don't have to build out a whole bouquet of flowers. A nice simple grouping looks great as well. For the following card, I used a very simple stem of flowers and paired it with our elegant Lattice Frame Die. I love how the die gives the images a more sophisticated and refined look without being too stiff.

And of course, I couldn't resist creating a fun retro floral pattern. I am just in love with the little flowers included in Summer Blooms. Aren't they adorable?

I stamped out a quick pattern and then used the Scalloped Border Die to trim off the left side. I stamped the "Thank You" sentiment, also included in Summer Blooms and adhered it to the right side of an A2 card base with a little foam adhesive.
