Revisiting All Year Cheer with Kara

Hello dear friends! It's Kara and I'm back with another bright spring card. I know we are all excited about the new release. I know I am! In fact, if you haven't stopped by my blog, please do. I have lots of inspiration featuring all of the newly released products - here, here, and here.

But, we don't like to neglect our previously released goodies either! One of my favorite things about spring is all of the birds that visit our yard. We have many feeders and they are just a joy to watch. I love this All Year Cheer stamp set because of these adorable birds!

This versatile set includes flowers, several styles of leaves and acorns to accent your branches which makes it perfect for all seasons. I chose to use these sweet little rose-like blooms stamped in Little Piggy and Sweet Gelato dye ink.

I die cut the sky background with the 4 Bar Stitched Rectangle die and sponged on some Bo Peep dye ink. I used a scrap piece of cardstock, die cut with the hills from the Landscape Border Die, to apply my ink. I wanted to create a subtle cloud-like texture. I stamped my sentiment on a circle die cut from the Love Mom Layers die collection.

I added the little black bow from the new Sucker For You die set as my final touch!

VIDEO: Tossed Florals Background Die and ZIGS w/Dawn

Hello! I'm back with another video and several cards for you today. Have you seen our new Tossed Florals Background Die? It's one of my favorite products from this release.

One of my favorite ways to use it is tone-on-tone for subtle texture. But today, I want to share how you can quickly and easily add color to it.

I cut several panels from Distress Watercolor paper and used ZIG Clean Color Real Brush markers to add a touch of water color to each. I made 4 versions, all slightly different. For this one, I used Blue, Dark Pink, Olive Green and Bright Yellow. I scribble a bit of color directly on the panel where I wanted to add color and then spread it out using an Aqua Brush.

For the sentiment, I used another older favorite, Bold Banner Greetings. I die cut the banner from Dove Grey cardstock and heat embossed the sentiment in white. Then backed it with another banner cut from white - slightly off set. You can see the whole process below.

Once I had finished the first card, I just loved the way these products looked together so much, that I had to make a few different versions. All using the same basic supplies, just slightly different.

I used the same layout as the first card for this one, but swapped out my card base color for Nautical Navy. For the colors, I used Wine Red, Deep Blue, Bright Yellow and Green.

For the next one, I switched up the watercoloring by adding a little perfect pearls to my water. This gave the entire background a gorgeous overall shimmer. The colors on this one are Carmine Red, Cobalt Blue, Yellow and Light Green.

For the sentiment, I split the banner between the left and the right and added a light watercolor wash to it.
