Release Sneak Peek: Day 3

ETA: Our lucky winner of the Woodgrain Silhouettes: Additions stamp set from yesterday's preview is #9 Alice Wertz who said: "i love those big leaves and those colors you used are gorgeous! fabulous cards!". Congratulations Alice! Contact me at customerservice@wplus9.com with your info to claim your prize within the next 48 hours.

I love reading all of your comments and especially love that you are enjoying what you are seeing so far. For today, totally unplanned, but it seems that I have a butterfly theme. Well, you can't very well have a nature set without a butterfly, can you?

I think this is my favorite card of the whole preview. Between both sets you will get 3 sizes of the same butterfly; 2 solids and 1 outline. The small solid and outlined butterfly are in Woodgrain Silhouettes, and that large beauty is in Woodgrain Silhouettes Additions. I used the two small images to create that fabulous pattern. First I stamped the solid randomly on a white strip of PTI's Stampers Select cardstock.

Then I came back in with the outline stamp and again, randomly stamped. Some outlines I lined up with the solid image, some were off, and some were way off and overlapping.

When I first finished this I thought, "well, that's not quite how I imagined it", and almost tossed it. But once I put the card together, I realized that it was so much better than I had imagined it! I finished this one off by punching out a "hole" with SU!'s Curly Label punch, and inside the negative space I stamped the largest butterfly. I added the sentiment from Funky Flowers. That cute little lattice strip? I created that by punching a strip of cardstock down both edges with the Martha Stewart Lattice punch.

This next card features the same butterflies, but here I paired them with ferns. I used the largest piece of fern/branch in the Additions set. At it's longest point it measures about 4" across. I stamped them first in Versamark and then "colored" them using SU!'s pastels. This created the soft, muted, chalk look I was going for. The "Mom" sentiment is from the Woodgrains Silhouette set.

On the inside I used the perfect sentiment for Mothers and Fathers alike, also from Woodgrain Silhouettes. I love this sentiment because it really is universal and appropriate for anyone who has been a positive influence in your life.

And finally, for my last card of the preview. Both of these crocus flowers are included in the Additions set. I am still trying to refine my coloring skills, so instead, I opted to stamp these outlined images in white onto PTI's Scarlet Jewel cardstock.

That's all of the projects I have to share with you for now. But the Design Team will have samples to share with you over the next couple of weeks as well. And tomorrow I will show you the sets in their entirety before they go on sale Friday.

Would you like to win your choice of these sets? It's easy, all you have to do is leave a comment by 11:59 pm EST Wednesday April 7th. I will randomly select one winner to receive their choice.

Good luck and thanks again, so much, for all of the kind comments that you guys leave. They really brighten my day.
