1 Die 2 Ways with Joni

Hello everyone, Joni here sharing my take on the new Large Butterfly Frame Die.

To begin, I distressed the background panel with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Tattered Rose and then splattered it with water and Gansai Tambi Pearl Color in Pearl Scarlet Red. Next, I die-cut the Large Butterfly Frame Die from White Cardstock and colored it with Copic markers (R81, R08, R59 for dark butterflies and E000, R20, RV23 for the lighter butterflies). For the sentiment I used the Modern Peonies stamp set.

My second card uses the same concept as the first, with a few little changes.

Again, I started by distressing the background panel with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, and Peacock Feathers. Next, I splattered the background with water and Gansai Tambi Pearl Color in Pearl May Green.

For this card, I cut away the frame portion of the die cut and just used the butterflies and colored them with Copic Markers in BG10, BG15, and BG18. For the sentiment I used the Modern Anemones stamp set.

For my sentiment I colored the cardstock with Copic markers to match the color scheme of my card projects before white heat embossing the sentiment.

To finish off the cards I added some Pretty Pink Posh sequins in Fairytale Fuchsia sequins and Peridot Mist.

I hope you enjoyed these two simple cards. Have a great weekend!
