September 2017 Release Week: Rose Builder With Kara

Hello and welcome back today for another look at the new release. By now you've had a chance to look at all of the wonderful new sets and companion dies. Remember, if you see something you like, you don't have to wait, it's all available right now!

So much variety in this release that there is surely something for everyone! I had a hard time choosing what to try out first, but in the end I went for the Rose Builder set. I love florals and I love layering sets.

While playing around with colors I stumbled on a combination that when layered up looks so beautiful: Sweet Nectar, Flamingo, Miami Spice, and Gala Red. These flowers have 4 layers! But, you don't have to use them all if you don't want to. They look great with as few as just 2 of the layers as well.

I love throwing a graphic element into my designs and triangles are my favorite. The juxtaposition of the organic and geometric shapes really appeals to me. I pulled out an older (and retired) set called Twenty Fifteen. The lined triangle stamp was perfect, but the solid triangle stamp was not large enough, so I stamped it 3 times, overlapping the images in such a way that it appears to be a much larger triangle. The overlapping is hidden behind the roses. Both cards are accented with a simple 'hello' sentiment from the Basic Greetings Die.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Be sure and come back tomorrow to see more samples from the Design Team featuring the newly released stamps and dies!
