Rose and Hellebore Builder Holiday Cards with Dawn

So it's officially November. Now, I have a really hard time getting into the "Christmas Spirit" before Thanksgiving. I'm one of those who likes to give each holiday it's own special time of reflection and celebration. You with me?

However, I know that there are a lot of you who just can't wait to start fa-la-la-ing. And I get it. It IS the most wonderful time of the year. And we need to start getting that inspiration in advance so that we aren't making and sending out holiday cards the week before Christmas. Raise your hand if your in the corner bowing your head with me.

Don't worry, I'm right there with you. We'll keep each other company.

Today I've got a couple of cards to share with you using some all year sets along with some holiday sets. The good news is that if you swap out the sentiments, these could be used for multiple occasions. Score!

If you follow us on YouTube, I shared how to quickly and easily stamp out a ton of the Rose Builder and Hellebore Builder layering images. If you haven't seen the video, be sure to click here and watch. It's a huge time saver.

During that stamp session I stamped out a ton of these florals and used the red roses to create this duo of holiday cards. I stamped several of the greenery images as well, die cut all of the stamped images using their respective companion dies and created a little bouquet.

To fill out my arrangement, I stamped a few of the pine boughs from the Holiday Boughs stamp set and added a seasonal sentiment also from the same set heat embossed in gold.

For the second card, I used a few sprigs from the Southern Summer Florals sets and backed the spray of florals with the Tree Ring Background stamp from Concord & 9th. I heat embossed sentiments from the Hand Lettered Holiday set in gold and popped them up on foam tape.

I really love the warm Thanksgiving/Fall vibes these have vs. a cold wintry feel. Which if I'm being honest, is actually more fitting for us warmer climates. Plus, I'm personally more of a warm rustic holiday decor girl.

How about you? Do you prefer the more rustic/warm holiday decor or the icy/wintry decor?

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope your weekend is off to a great start!

  1. Icy, or warm... whatever the temperatures these are sure beautiful, Dawn - and in my favorite Christmas color combination. I've just pulled out my Gala Red for the Season, and find it to be my favorite red of all. I'm of the let's not forget Thanksgiving mindset, but have SO many Christmas cards to make/send - must get moving... thanks for showing us how to get it done! xx
