This weekend was a crazy crafting weekend! I thought I would share with you guys (all 5 of you) what I was up to. LOL This first project combined my 3 loves:
- Graphic Design
- Paper Crafting
- Photography
We just got back from Hawaii for my sister-in-law's wedding. She is such a great woman, and of course her new groom is awesome as well! They are both avid surfers, and LOVE the ocean. In that case, where do you have a destination wedding? Hawaii of course! Since it was not the most inexpensive wedding to attend, it was a small private affair. I decided to make her wedding announcements as a small gift. My first attempt was nice...but when she mentioned that she wanted to include a photo with them, well...sparks went off in this tiny head of mine. I get to combine all 3 of my FAVS!! So I started to dig through the hundreds of photos I took from the wedding and voila! this is what my table looked like Friday night:
I had so much fun creating these. I couldn't decide, so I finally settled on 4 different pictures in three different colors. Who says you can't have it all?! My mother-in-law suggested I include their address...ingenious! So I created matching little address cards to insert under the belly band. Here is a close-up of one:
And here is a shot of all 4 final designs:
As if that wasn't enough, I also made some fun stuff with my girlfriends on Sunday. Here's a peek at some of the stuff we made.
This layout was CASEd from the extremely talented Dawn McVey. It uses the new Stampin' Up Razzleberry Lemonade dsp and In Colors Rich Razzleberry and Melon Mambo. LOVE this paper. Let me tell you, it is sooo much prettier in picture than in the catalog. I've also used a new found favorite on this card, Papertrey Ink buttons! I CAN NOT get enough of them.
That cute little fellow up there is part of the new Stampin' Up Animal Stories stamp set. You might remember I used the giraffe from the same set here. This is another set I really like right now. It's so fun!
And last but not least, while trying to use up some retired paper, I created this little home decor project. So simple and fun. I used the Martha Stewart postage stamp punch and Stampin' Up's retired dsp Bella Rose.
If you got this far, congratulations, and a great big THANK YOU for reading. As always, I love reading your comments!
