Sunshine For the Soul

Hello! Today I have a couple of cards to share featuring some of the products from our June 2016 Release.

The Garden Buddies stamps and companion dies are absolutely adorable and packed with lots of images to create cute little scenes. For today's card I paired them up with the new Fence Border Die.

I started by doing a little bit of ink blending on some Tim Holtz Watercolor Cardstock in Salty Ocean and Mowed Lawn Distress Inks for my background and die cut the panel using the largest rectangle in our Gift Card Layers Die. I then die cut the Fence Border Die from Tim Holtz Woodgrain Cardstock. How cool is that instant texture?

I stamped all of my images in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink (all supplies are listed and linked below) and then colored them using Copic Markers. I did not list the colors I used this time, because I did not keep track as this was originally going to be a video...and then my SD card was somehow corrupted. I apologize.

I really love the scale of these little guys because they are small enough to fit several images in a scene, but still large enough to easily color. I popped the images up on a little 3M Foam Tape and then stamped my greeting in Black PURE COLOR Dye Ink.

Before I go, I want to share one more card. This one came together from scraps laying on my desk. Those that know me well...know that this is entirely possible. ;o) (I could probably make 30 cards with the scraps within arms reach of my desk!)

For this one I grabbed a panel that I had practiced some distress ink watercoloring on and die cut a portion of it again, using the Gift Card Layers die. I layered together a cast-off piece of vellum and striped stamped paper - trimmed them and layered them with another scrap of glitter paper.

I layered everything together and then created a little greeting focal point by grouping the stamped and die cut Loved In Every Way from our That Is All stamps and dies. I had that lone little gold clothes pin in a dish, but the glitter paper was silver...I decided that I love to mix my metals in jewelry...so why not in card making? So to tie it all together, the one thing I did have to "dig" out...the gold thread. Voila!

Thanks for stopping in today, I hope you found some inspiration!

  4. The friendship card is just the sweetest thing, and I only wish my well planned cards looked half as good as your "oh, let's use up these scraps" card.
