VIDEO: Rainbow Challenge Tag

Hello! I hope your Friday is just the kick start to a great weekend! I thought I'd stop in and participate in the Rainbow Card Challenge Tag. We thought it would be a lot of fun to start some video challenge tags...no rules, no deadlines...just fun!

With summer on the horizon, rainbows and bright cheery colors seemed like a great place to start. So, I thought why not run with the rainbow colors and some ink blending, and this is what I came up with.

Watch above or watch in HD at YouTube

And actually, like you'll see in the video below, I couldn't stop at just one. This often happens when I'm creating, whether its cards or designing digitally - one idea will spin off into another.

Here I used the negative portion of the die cut numbers and added an inked rainbow striped background, inspired by the talented Laura Bassen. The rest of the elements were pretty much the same as the first card, but resulted in a completely different card.

And I still had a few left over numbers from the original die cut. So I used the rest of those and decided to flip the original design vertically for this version.

This was so much fun! And now I get to tag two people to participate, and I'm tagging Laura Bassen and Shari Carroll. I admire both of these ladies so much and hope that they play along!

If this looks like fun and you'd like to participate, go ahead! And be sure to tag 2 more people to play along as well. ;o)

Thanks for stopping by today!

  13. I love your numbers die cards and the video was so helpful. Great use of color...I, too previously saw Laura's card using numbers dies which I CASE'd with my own twist. I wound up making close to a dozen of those cards, all slightly different since I have a "thing" about any two cards being exactly alike....just cannot do that. LOL Anyway, love what you created....Jan D., Florida
