I love to stamp my own backgrounds using my stamps and with the Holiday Season being not too far away I pulled out my Hellebore Builder set and a few other all-time favorites from WPlus9. Hello friends, this is Yana and I hope you are having a wonderful week!

I filmed a video tutorial showing the creative process from start to finish, which you can watch below:
I didn’t do any kind of masking as I was working on my background. I did my stamping in clusters - stamped one flower and added leaves, branches and berries around it. Next, stamped another flower and repeated the steps.

Whenever I stamp backgrounds using my layering images I prefer to stamp base layers first (I call this “sketching out” my background) and once I have all of the base layers stamped then I add in the detailed second and third layer images. I feel my stamping process goes a lot faster this way and there’s less room for error, too.

I stamped my background onto a 4 ¼ x 5 ½” panel and once my stamping was done I adhered the panel onto an A2 side folding card base. To create a sentiment I heat embossed a beautiful message from the Iconic Christmas stamp set in gold embossing powder onto a piece of white cardstock, trimmed it into a banner and foam mounted onto my card. I added a bit of red and white bakers twine and called this card done!
