There are many different ways one can use floral stamps. My favorite is to incorporate them into a unique stamped background/pattern.

Depending on the look I am going for I will often times using light, pale colors of ink for my project. I prefer not to use masks for my images and stamp them as is. Using masking is a great technique that allows us to stretch the use of our stamps, but often it can be too time consuming. When I stamp cards like this one here I prefer stamping process to go quickly so that I am able to make several cards at once.

The colors I used to stamp this card are Hayride, Wild Mango and Pumpkin Spice for the yellow flower; Shell Pink and Little Piggy for the pink flower as well as Sea Breeze and Ocean Dive for the leaves.

You might have noticed that both flowers have more layers than inks colors I listed. And that is correct, to make my florals as light as possible I omitted the base most solid layer from my stamping and only stamped detail layers giving a slightly different look to my flowers.
I made sure to stamp the roses so that they didn’t overlap or touch each other, but I did overlap the leaves a bit. I also used small circle-like images from other WPlus9 sets to fill in the gaps in between the flowers.

Once my pattern was done I stamped a simple “Just A Note To Say Hello” sentiment in black ink. Even though I was stamping the sentiment directly onto my pattern, because I picked such light colors of ink for the pattern itself it didn’t overpower the sentiment.
I adhered my stamped panel onto an A2 white card base and that completed this simple one layer project.
Have fun stamping!
