No-Fuss Watercolor Christmas Rose Bouquet

Hello Crafters! It's Kelly here and for today's card I wanted something that looked gorgeous but required minimal effort. Kinda like champagne taste on a coca-cola income, you know what I'm saying?

Let me help you understand my state of mind heading into this card. Have you seen the movie The Help?

In the movie, the housekeeper Aibileen tells the little girl she cares for "You is kind. You is smart, You is important." Which is beautiful. I have a less charming version I think to myself every morning.

"You is hungry. You is late. You is tired."

Can I get an Amen?

The new Christmas Rose Bouquet set was a perfect fit for my mood.

I only stamp this stunning border stamp twice to cover my entire card panel. No masking, no arranging, just stamp and BAM! we're on to the coloring. This is the best type of card when you just want to chill and color.

Speaking of coloring, I went the foolproof route here too. I'm not even ashamed.

I heat embossed set my images using white embossing powder. This style of watercolor helps keep all of the water in their designated areas making it super easy to get a beautifully watercolored card really easily.

Another easy way out? I didn't have to prepare a palate to paint from. I used a few watercolor dot cards I had. Wet paint brush to dot card, dot card to watercolor paper. Easy Peasy folks.

I love how the vellum sentiment floats over those gorgeous flowers. The images are stunning with just a bit of sparkle to finish it all off.
