Easter Treat Bags: Stamping On Fabric

Hey Guys! It's Kara and I have a fun project to share with you today.  I have created Easter treat bags by stamping PURE COLOR Dye Ink on fabric drawstring bags that I picked up at my local craft store.

So, It all started when a friend on Instagram asked me how the WPlus9 inks worked when stamped on fabric.  I didn't know, but I knew I had to test it.  Turns out they stamp beautifully on fabric, don't bleed, and hold up in the wash!  I do have a few suggestions for you if you'd like to try it yourself.

First, choose your colors and images.  I decided on Little Piggy, Sweet Gelato, Mojito, and Coconut Husk ink.  For stamp sets I chose Happy Wishes and Monogrammed. I recommend practicing your designs on inexpensive cardstock first.  I did buy more bags than I needed in case of mistakes, but I didn't want to waste a bag on a design I didn't like in the end.

Before stamping, prep your bags. I ironed mine to make sure I had a nice flat surface for stamping. If you sprtiz with water while ironing, make sure to let them dry completely. Stamping on a damp bag will cause the ink to bleed. I found that putting a piece of cardstock inside the bag before stamping also helped to give a nice flat stamping surface and prevent bleed through to the back of the bag.

Once you are inked up and ready to stamp, make sure your acrylic block is clean.  Because the bag gives when stamping, stray ink on the block is easily transferred to the bag.

I just love how they turned out! I filled the treat bags with all kinds of chocolate Easter candy. I plan to put them at my guests' place settings on the table this Easter.
