March 2017 Release Week: Big Deal And Big Top Background With Kara

Hello and welcome back! Today is Day 3 of the March Release. I hope you are enjoying everything so far. Kara here with you today to share two fun new sets with you. They, along with all of the others, will be available on March 5th. Not long now! If you are just joining us, be sure to catch up with Day 1 and Day 2.

As soon I received the new release products I went straight for these two adorable sets illustrated by Stephany Zerbe. I could just see them in bright, primary colors.

The first is an awesome background stamp called Big Top Background. It's one relatively small stamp that creates huge impact! Stamping it twice creates this awesome burst background that measures 3 1/2 x 4 3/4". It's super easy to line up, too. I stamped it in Falling Star Dye Ink on a piece of white cardstock cut with the 4 Bar Stitched Rectangle Die.

From there I started to build my circus scene. I stamped the cute panda in black ink and positioned him on the stand. He's wearing a hat, holding a flag and balancing a ball on his feet. That's one talented panda! I used the coordinating dies on all of the elements and colored everything with Copic markers. I gave them a coat of clear Wink Of Stella for shimmer under the big top lights. I added a custom sentiment by pairing two of the sentiments in the set.

I love to double up my die cuts with some dimensional adhesive.  I just think it looks cool!

For my second, card I used many of the accessories from the Big Deal set to create a background. Again, I colored everything with Copic markers and clear Wink Of Stella. Near each ball I added the "Have a ball!" sentiment. For the main sentiment I stamped "Happy Birthday", also from this set, onto a banner from the Bountiful Blooms die set and added a black banner behind the white to help it pop. One die cut ice cream cone accents the banner.
