Stretching Your Dies With Kara

Hey! It's Kara and I'm back to share a fun way to stretch your new Stuck On You dies! There are so many ways to use this die collection as is, but when you transform one of them into a Band-Aid it opens up a whole new world of possibilities!

It wasn't until I was editing photos of this card, using the cactus, that I could see it! I was so excited to try it and I loved the result. I simply die cut the cactus from white cardstock several times and snipped off the sides to create the base of the Band-Aid. I wanted to create an ombre' effect so I added color with a sponge dauber and PURE Color Dye Ink in the shades Little Piggy, Sweet Gelato, the new V.I. Pink, and Cranberry Crush.

Just a few more details to make the Band-Aid look authentic, a small rectangle piece of cardstock and a little heart. The heart from Love Showers Layers was the perfect size. They were also colored with the same inks.

I die cut a panel of white cardstock using the 4 Bar Stitched Rectangle die. I cut the panel on the diagonal removing a thin section. I backed it with black cardstock for contrast. I placed the Band-Aids across the missing section to symbolize a repair. I added a sweet little sentiment from Get Well Gang with some get well wishes.

I just love it and I hope this inspires you to stretch those dies!

Stuck On You with Joni

Hello Everyone, Joni here sharing my take on the fun new stitched details dies from Wplus9. I love the Stuck On You die, it is super easy to use and fun to create with.

To begin, I first die-cut the heart cactus from white cardstock and colored it with Copic Markers. After coloring I added my stitching.

I repeated this for each of my die cut pieces.

For the background, I sponged Black Soot and Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink onto white cardstock using an ink blending tool and then splattered it with water for interest.

Next, I added the sentiment from the Modern Anemones stamp set. The top sentiment was heat embossed in white on a strip of olive cardstock, and "friend" was gold heat embossed onto navy cardstock. I also added some Sparkling Clear Confetti Mix from Pretty Pink Posh for added sparkle.

Hello! I hope you all have been enjoying the new products released this month. These stitching dies are so fun and versatile and the new PURE COLORDye Ink colors are so vibrant!

The first project I created when I received these new goodies was this project that features mainly the Sucker For You die collection. I just love all of the options available in this set to customize these lollipops.

On a few of the dies I chose to add stitching - which is super simple and fun to do - and on the others I added color to the die cuts using some of the newly released ink colors. The bows, the sentiment, and the swirl on the lollipop were colored with V.I. Pink and Queen Bee PURE COLOR Dye Ink. I even colored the pink panel with the pink ink! I only added ink to the areas that would be peeking out from behind the main white panel so I didn't waste any ink!

I wanted them to resemble one of those edible cookie arrangements, so I placed the lollipops into a 'basket' using one of the dies from Stuck On You. Instead of adding stitching to the basket I used the holes as a guide for adding rhinestones in a zig zag pattern.

Stuck On You and FEB 2018 Release Review

Hello! I've got several cards to share with you today featuring the newly released Stuck On You die.

Dies are one of my favorite crafting supplies. With a little creativity, you can really stretch them and use them in so many clever ways.

For this card, I die cut my cactus and pot from white cardstock, left the die cut in place in the die and then inked through the open center of the die. This left me the white border around the outside and created what looks like a stamped and die cut image.

Like the other dies in the Stitched Details Die Collection, the stitching is optional on several of the designs. Here I opted to used the stitching detail dies and added a little bit of stitching to both the cactus and pot. For the background I stamped a pattern in Lime Light, Queen Bee and V.I.Pink using Borders & Backgrounds 4. Next, I wanted to share a fun way to incorporate felt into your cards. I kept this design very simple as the tactile element that the felt adds is really enough to carry the design.

I die cut both my cactus and pot as well as a rectangle using our 4 Bar Stitched Rectangles Die. I stitched the cactus and pot to the cream rectangle using the stitching holes cut by the dies. Then I stitched all around the edges of the cream rectangle using a backstitch.

I used Stick It to adhere the wool panel to a Kraft card base. I really like Stick It for adhering larger areas of felt to my cards. It's the easiest to use and most secure that I've found so far.

And finally, I wanted to share the cards that I created in the video above. These were actually conceptualize and created on the fly while filming the video. My intention was only to share how easy it was to create stencils from your dies....and well, one thing led to another and I ended up creating these two cards.

Man, how I wish it was that easy to come up with a design all of the time! I started by die cutting one of the cacti from acetate to create a stencil. I then inked through the stencil using Lime Light to create and all over tossed pattern. I die cut the flower from fun foam to create a DIY stamp and stamped it in V.I.Pink.

For both designs I added the details to my cacti using a .3 Copic Multiliner. I loosely traced around the edges of each cactus and flower in the card above, and did not in the card below. Instead I added a bit of clear Wink Of Stella to each cactus.
