Dynamic Backgrounds ft. Masking & Distress Oxide Inks

Hello Crafters! It's been a minute since I've created a one layer scene card so when I was going through my stamps and rediscovered Forest Friends I knew it would be perfect to get my fix.

I think the thing I like the most about this set is all the options it gives you. There are a couple of charming little raccoons and an adorable bear plus the tree. You could build a seriously involved scene or you can use just one and create something clean and simple.

I think you can see which route I took. Like you had any doubt.

Those Distress Oxide Inks are truly gorgeous. I love how their chalk finish adds lots of color but still gives this out of focus softness that doesn't take away from the main image at all. I can see using these for backgrounds a ton.

Those enamel accents really make the raccoon's eyes pop. If you frequently color animals with darker colors it's definitely worth the investment to add those black eyes back in. It's super helpful to not have to worry about how dark my coloring is especially on an image like this.

VIDEO: Spinner Puzzle Card with Kelly

Hello Crafters! Today I have something a little different but I think it's super fun. I was never good at waiting for surprises so let's just get to it :)

It's a spinner puzzle card! Fun right?!

I used a few circle dies and a brad to create a fun interactive card. I know this would be great for kids but really I think it's great for everyone. Who wouldn't want to play?

The cute bear and balloons from the new Friends for All Seasons: Fall set were perfect to be the focal point. He's super adorable!

So the idea is to mail it like this. Then the recipient can piece together the "puzzle" to view the adorable image and read their message.

I just couldn't stop playing with it!

I did forget to mention that I changed the brad out after I finished the video. The large black one felt like it was too much for the design. Nothing a little rummaging around in my gigantic container of brads (thank you 2004 scrapbooking supplies I hoarded) couldn't fix.
