Sending Lots of Love with Joni

Hello Everyone! I am back with a little love inspiration using your oldie but goodie stamp sets. The sentiments from Valentine Wishes stamp set never gets old. I've paired it with the cute bunnies from the Wishing You stamp set and companion die. Although this sentiment will go with any of the Wplus9 stamp images you already have.

To begin, I distressed my A2 card base with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Tattered Rose. Next, I stamped the bunnies on the white card panel as a guide and used my Copic markers from darkest to lightest.

Next, I added some aquas for the background. I used the 0 Copic marker just to lighten some of the dark stroke I made.

Then, I added some pink dots using Copic Markers as well, colors you can see below. After coloring the die-cut bunnies, I die-cut 3 more to adhered behind the colored bunnies, just another option since I ran out of foam tape.

Then, I stamped the sentiment "Sending Lots of Love", and "Valentine Wishes" from the Valentine Wishes stamp set. I added a scattering of hearts, also from the Wishing You stamp set, to the background as well.

I hope you enjoyed!

Until next time...Thank you for stopping by!

VIDEO: Creating Fireworks and Backlighting with Kelly

Hello Crafters!

Happy 4th of July! You know what that means? Cook outs, warm weather, backyard games, family time and of course...fireworks. What do you say we get a head start on the fireworks this morning?

These adorable little bunnies are clearly enjoying the fireworks finale. I mean isn't that everyone's favorite part of the show?

Do you want to create your own fireworks? Hopefully, I can help! You can watch the whole card come together in the video below.

Watch above or watch in HD at YouTube

Were you surprised by how easy it is was? I was! I had a little issue with my tape but it all worked out in the end.

I hope you give this a try soon!

Thanks for visiting, and Happy 4th of July!

Galaxy Background with Color Bursts

Hi all, last month I shared this card with you using Ken Oliver Color Burst powder.  Whenever I do technique pieces like that I make a few so I can choose which one I like best for the project I am working on.

While I didn't feel the background featured on my card today looked nice with the Rose Background die, it looks great as a night sky!  This has a more spotty appearance, like a galaxy background.  To achieve this look, you'll want to use less water on your paper before sprinkling on the Color Burst.

I couldn't resist using this galaxy background along with the Wishing You stamps, Sentiments and dies and Starry Background die.  They all just work wonderfully together.

I hope you'll play with this technique a bit.  Try using different amounts of water and powder to see which look appeals to you most.  Get creative on how you use those backgrounds too!
