VIDEO: Window Scene Card with Kelly

Hello Crafters!

As grateful as I am for the mild temperatures that we've been having here in Northeast Ohio, I have to face facts. Thanksgiving is next week, which means Christmas is just around the corner! Eeep.

One of the best things about Christmas is the fun stamp sets I get to play with. I love coming up with new looks for classic images. The new 4 bar stitched rectangle dies really helped me think outside the box.

By using the dies a little differently I was able to create a fun window card that has lots of little details. I love the idea of all the pieces being separate but working together for the big picture.

You can see how I created the window along with all of the copic coloring in the video below.

I usually opt for Distress Inks to do my backgrounds. I was surprised by how easy the sky was with Copics, maybe I should venture outside of the box more often.

I didn't do it intentionally but I think it's super cool how each window looks like a continuation of the other. Talk about your happy accidents!

I'm hoping to get a lot more use out of these cuties before Christmas time is here. Thanks for visiting!

Love Frame with Joni

Hello Everyone, Joni here using some of the new released products from Wplus9.

To create the background, I started by distressing an A2 card base with Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Tattered Rose and Fossilized Amber. I then created a few "random" dots using Copic Markers. For the frame, I distressed another piece of card stock with Evergreen Bough Tim Holtz Distress Ink and die-cut it using the new 4 Bar Stitched Rectangles Die.

Next, I stamped the banner image from Be Merry Sentiments with gray pigment ink from Fresh Ink in Birch. Next, I stamped the "love" sentiment from the same set with Wplus9 PURE COLOR in Black. The cute deer images were stamped using the Santa's Reindeer stamp set and colored with Copic markers and die-cut the companion die.

After I assembled my card, I also added some Diamond Stickles and Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins, and added the "sending" sentiment, also from the Be Merry Sentiments stamp set.

I hope you guys enjoyed my card today! Until next time...Thank you so much for stopping by!
