Easter Blessings with Lea Lawson

Lea Lawson has a very fitting Easter card to share with us today. She has absolutely captured the ethereal essence of Easter.

From the vellum, to the gold, to the amazing misting...sheer perfection. There are so many details to take in here. I love the use of the golden Spring Wreath Die with the vellum sentiment overlays. And the soft golden misting on the background. Speaking of that background! Can you get a softer, more perfectly blended background? The golden ribbon across the bottom ties it all together beautifully. Each detail looks so painstakingly chosen. Who want's to bet she just slaps it all together with little to no effort?! ;o)

Birthday Basics and a Pretty Pink Posh Discount

Hello, hello! Today Lea Lawson and I are teaming up to share a little more inspiration featuring the Birthday Basics Die. Our styles are so different that I thought it would be a great way to showcase the versatility.

Lea took the soft layered route, incorporating a ton of feminine pastels and plenty of sequins.

Stamps: Whole Lotta' Happy // Dies: Birthday Basics Die, Happy Trio Die // Cardstock: Cashmere

Speaking of sequins - which are popping up everywhere - we have the scoop on THE BEST sequins around. And, we have an exclusive discount just for Wplus9 fans!

Pretty Pink Posh has the most gorgeous colors in stock. And did you know that several colors give you the option of flat or cupped sequins? Awesome! Paulina has been generous enough to offer a 10% discount off of all sequins just for us - to share with all of you. Just enter the code WPLUS9PARTY at checkout.

Since we are focusing on trends this week, I decided to go a little more bold and work in the "artsy/grunge" look that is making a resurgence into main stream. I thought enamel dots were a perfect compliment to this look.

Wplus9 Supplies:
Stamps: So 80's, Whole Lotta' Happy // Ink: Wild Mango, Sweet Nectar, Bloomsberry Dye Ink (available March 2014) // Dies: Birthday Basics Die, Modern Numerals Die // Cardstock: White, Black

We've had so many requests for the So 80's stamp set since we retired it, that we've decided to bring it back for a special limited run. Stay tuned in March 2014 for it's return. The splatters and paint strokes in this set were perfect for layering behind the "birthday" die cut. The bright streaks of color (thanks to our upcoming PUREColor Dye Inks) push the white forward and make it pop.

Be sure to stop by Lea's blog for full details on her card. Thanks for stopping by. I hope your week is off to a great start!

Love with Lea Lawson

Lea Lawson is sharing a gorgeous card with us today featuring something new, something old, and something gold.

I asked Lea to showcase something using her favorites from both past & present...and WOW! what a showcase. I have to say, I am blown away, absolutely blown away by the combination of Just Geometrics: Triangles and Borders & Backgrounds 3 layered together. Emboss them in silver AND gold? Well, who said you can't mix your metals? I never believed that old "rule" anyway, and here is the perfect testament! Fanciful Feathers is the icing on the cake. These graphic feathers look amazing paired with the other graphic elements and the addition of that bold black to ground everything was incredibly smart. Wonderful design Lea!

Design Team Inspiration with Lea Lawson

Happy Monday! Today, Design Team member Lea Lawson is sharing a couple of cards with us featuring our June/July 2013 Release.

Her first card features the popular Fresh Cut Florals stamps and dies. I've got to say, I am loving her color combination. The teal leaves set off the pink flowers beautifully.

Her next card shows us how "less is more". She has cleverly split the border stamp to add the diamond pattern in the middle just below the sentiment. What a great way to anchor and draw the eye towards the sentiment!

A big thanks to Lea for stopping by and sharing some inspiration with us. What a wonderful start to the week!

Fresh Baked with Lea Lawson

Wplus9 Supplies:
Stamps: Fresh Baked | Dies: Fresh Baked Companion Die, Timeless Tags 2 | Cardstock: Oatmeal

Today Lea is sharing a gorgeous gift idea featuring Fresh Baked with us. Somehow gorgeous just doesn't seem to do this justice though. I am head-over-heels in love with this little number.

The sentiments and images from Fresh Baked are just the right thing to dress up this jar of homemade sugar scrub. The soft colors and addition of lace and roses evoke femininity and just seem proper for a little gift of pampering. Don't you think?

Do you love this as much as I do? Be sure to stop by Lea's for all of the details and the Vanilla Sugar Scrub recipe. Thank you so much for inspiring us over the last couple of days Lea!

Bright Days with Lea Lawson

Lea's back with more to share with us today! And this time it's a pair of Mother's Day appropriate cards. It's coming fast, and I don't know about you, but I tire of the same sentiment for Mother's Day over and over.

Why not try a sentiment that celebrates those moms out there? Encourages them to shine...because it is their day, right?!

I hope you've enjoyed today's featured project, be sure to stop by Lea's for all of the details. Lea will be back again tomorrow with one last project, and it's a cute gift idea you won't want to miss!

Design Team Inspiration with Lea Lawson

It's Lea's turn to share her release projects with us, and today, we have an especially cheerful birthday card. What an amazing display! Go ahead, take your time, look it over and take it all in. I'll wait.

Can you believe how much Lea's packed into this pint sized canvas? Yet somehow she's managed not to overload it. Some of the things that I particularly love about this duo. One - the envelope. Love the stamping and decoration on the inside that just peeks out at you. Two - the mix. It's such and eclectic mix of feminine florals, modern fonts, and homespun quilting patterns. but. it. works. Never in a million years could I pull it off. Three - what a color palette. Oh yes, bring on summer already!

I hope you've enjoyed today's featured project, be sure to stop by Lea's for all of the details. And, don't forget to stop by again tomorrow for another Lea original!
