Stretching Your Dies With Kara

Hey! It's Kara and I'm back to share a fun way to stretch your new Stuck On You dies! There are so many ways to use this die collection as is, but when you transform one of them into a Band-Aid it opens up a whole new world of possibilities!

It wasn't until I was editing photos of this card, using the cactus, that I could see it! I was so excited to try it and I loved the result. I simply die cut the cactus from white cardstock several times and snipped off the sides to create the base of the Band-Aid. I wanted to create an ombre' effect so I added color with a sponge dauber and PURE Color Dye Ink in the shades Little Piggy, Sweet Gelato, the new V.I. Pink, and Cranberry Crush.

Just a few more details to make the Band-Aid look authentic, a small rectangle piece of cardstock and a little heart. The heart from Love Showers Layers was the perfect size. They were also colored with the same inks.

I die cut a panel of white cardstock using the 4 Bar Stitched Rectangle die. I cut the panel on the diagonal removing a thin section. I backed it with black cardstock for contrast. I placed the Band-Aids across the missing section to symbolize a repair. I added a sweet little sentiment from Get Well Gang with some get well wishes.

I just love it and I hope this inspires you to stretch those dies!

Showering You with Love w/Joni + a Sale

Hello Everyone, Joni here sharing a cute card using the old but goodie Party Animal stamp set and companion die. Valentine's Day is over, but those you love should be celebrated all year round. Don't you think? Who doesn't like to be reminded of how much they are loved?

And these two cute giraffe are a perfect way to show your affection.

To begin, I stamped my images onto white cardstock and colored them with Copic Markers.

Then, I created my background using Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Scattered Straw, Twisted Citron, and Worn Lipstick. Next, I splattered the background with water using paint brush to create the background effect.

For added interest I die-cut the "love and hearts" from Love Showers Layers. I also used the Love Showers stamp set.

Here's just another look all adhered together.

Aren't they adorable? I hope you enjoyed!

Tough Break with Maureen

Hi, it's Maureen. Today I'm sharing a super cute card featuring the Get Well Gang stamp set.

The images in this set are so cute and the sentiments that pair with them are just perfect.

To make my card, I die cut the tag from the Love Shower Layers Die and blended the background with Twisted Citron and Peacock Feathers Distress Inks. Next, I die cut the center and inlaid it (without attaching it) while I stamped the sentiment and bandaids. Then I adhered the outside of the tag to a white card base with tape runner and the center with foam tape.

The image was simply stamped with black ink and die cut. I just colored his nose with a Copic Multiliner and popped him up on foam tape before adding him to the card. Notice how the bright colorful background really makes the uncolored die cut pop? This is a great option for utilizing those cute lined images if you're not comfortable with coloring or just short on time. I think it is such a chic look and really "matures" the overall feel of the card. A couple of white die cut clouds and Baker's Twine finish this CAS card off perfectly.

Thanks for stopping in and sharing a bit of your day with us!

VIDEO: Rainbow Panda with Kelly Latevola

Hello Crafters! I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful weekend! I spent a bit of time playing with the new release before I had to go into work. At least I snuck in a bit of playtime! My craft time was spent with some cuddly cute pandas.

I recently realized it had been forever since I pulled out my Zig Clean Color markers and did some watercoloring. I thought the panda holding an umbrella would pair perfectly with a rainbow for an encouragement card.

I actually ended up modifying this card. And before we jump into the video I thought I'd share the original finished card with you. . .

The same, but different. I'll explain in the video below :)

Watch above or watch in HD at YouTube

After staring at that card for two days I just HAD to change it. Not that I can't appreciate the simplicity of the original design, I can. I just LOVE it with the added embellishments.

The moral of the story? Do what you love. If at first you don't succeed, rip it apart and put it back together again! :)
