March 2017 Release Week: Petunia Builder

Hello, I hope you've been enjoying all of the new products we've been previewing this week! Remember, everything will be available tomorrow, March 05, 2017. If you've missed anything so far, be sure to check out Day 1, Day 2 and Day 3.

Today, I want to give you a closer look at another new floral set. As you know, our floral focus this release has been on the humble Petunia. We've shared a simple outlined set perfect for coloring and a gorgeous border floral with a few anemones mixed in. For those of you who enjoy solid stamping over coloring, we've got the Petunia Builder set for you!

Petunia Builder

AVAILABLE March 5, 2017

Petunia Builder
4x6" Clear Stamp Set
$15 USD

Petunia Builder Companion Die
Steel Rule Die
$12 USD

I have a couple of projects and a video to share with you today showcasing this set. So grab a cup of tea or coffee and lets take a look.

This set is beautiful, versatile and easy to use! If you are a beginner with the layering stamp sets, this is a great one to start with. The petunias themselves are incredibly easy as there really isn't any "lining up" to speak of. The leaves need minimally "lining up", but even if they are "off" just a bit, it actually adds to the stylized look. I've even stamped the leaf detail layers by themselves in another project and it looks amazing!

In the video below, I give an overview of the set and show you how simple laying these really is while - creating the coral all-over petunia pattern.

Watch above or watch in HD at YouTube

I really love how you can create these layered petunias, interchange the layers for unique floral images, or use some of the layers on their own. I'll have another floral project later this month that looks completely different from these (not a petunia in sight), but uses the same set!

I loved this so much, I barely gave the glue time to dry before this guy went into the mail, on it's way to the person who inspired the sentiment!

I made sure to include leaf stems and segments in our floral sets so that you could create vine-like clusters, trails of flowers, or connections so that the flowers weren't just "floating".

Here I wanted the petunias to be trailing in from the top of the card. I absolutely love this set in blue. I don't normally do blue flowers, so this was a nice change for me and I will definitely be doing more in the future.

For the sentiments on today's cards, I used Kind Soul, another set that will be available tomorrow. If you want to see a little more on this set, check out Day 2. All of the supplies used today will be linked in the supply list below.

I hope you have enjoyed today's previews. Kelly will be here tomorrow more inspiration as we wrap up Release Week. Thank you so much for joining us for another amazing week!

  26. Good afternoon flower,
i have really enjoyed finding Wplus9 and the wonders that you create. Although i have been making cards for a number of years i have never been able to stamp, but that all changed when i got for christmas that magical thing called a misty. I can't hold a stamp block properly due to having clumsy awkward hands that don't want to do as i would like so this wonderful tool has made me able for the first to be able to stamp, so i will be looking out for your new creations to come across the ocean to Scotland. I love these builder sets that make you able to create gorgeous flowers with some detail and having the 2,3 or 4 steps to them brings them alive in my world. Thank you flower for bringing out the beautiful Kind Soul set and the beautiful petunia. The coral coloured petunia's are so warm looking but the lilac is so fresh in look, so either colour scheme is a winner and being able to make them what ever set of colours we like changes it to a totally new card design each time.
    love and crafty hugs
