Dockside with Hannah Craner

Happy Friday!

Not only is it Friday, but it's a three day weekend! And here to help us celebrate, it's Hannah Craner. And she's sending us off into the weekend Nautical style.

I don't know about you, but I am so enjoying Hannah's clean style. Her color choices and layouts are so classic yet modern and fresh. The negative circle she's cut from the center banner, allowing the background rope stamping to show through perfectly sets off the life preserver and draws your eye straight to it. Pairing the "thanks" sentiment with the life preserver was such a great idea. Kinda infers that "you helped/saved me".

Here's another example of some clever die cutting.

Whaaat!? How cool is that? I'm seriously going to be stealing borrowing this little technique. The real kicker? How careful she was to preserve the pattern on each die cut piece so that it never breaks and your eye kinda fills in the rest and makes it one unified piece - even with the negative spaces. So cool.

Hannah has more photos and all of the details on creating these projects on her blog. Be sure to head over and leave her some love!

Have a crafty day!

Fanciful Feathers with Hannah Craner

Are you ready for round two of inspiration for the day? It's time for the second part of our double hitter! (scroll down to see Jinny Newlin's wonderful projects if you missed them)

It's Hannah Craner's turn to get our creative juices flowing, and let me just warn you...she is back with a vengeance! She's serving up a duo of cards, using the same products, kind of a Fanciful Feathers two-ways - if you will.

First up...a little Fanciful Feathers love! This card is straight up my alley in EVERY way, clean and simple with a punch of color and a fun geometric print.

The second card is just as fabulous as the first, but with it's own personality. This is a great way to maximize your time by creating more than one card with the products you already have out.

Hannah has more photos and all of the details on creating these projects on her blog. While you're there, be sure to welcome her back to the Wplus9 Design Team. We are extremely thrilled to have her back and we hope that you are too!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a crafty day!

More Design Team Inspiration with Jinny Newlin

I hope you have been enjoying all of the wonderful inspiration that Jinny Newlin has been providing over the last several days. She's back to wrap up with a couple more creations that I'm sure will love!

Her first card today is full of fun.

Just check out how she's combined Fanciful Feathers and Borders & Backgrounds 2 in her background stamping. Notice how she's used the feathers as the birds tail feathers?! LOVE!

Also, using the banner from Basic Banners to emulate a nest is a perfect touch.

Jinny's final card today is actually a gorgeous unisex monogrammed stationery set. It makes me so happy to hear how the ladies are utilizing Monogrammed to create stationery sets for friends and family. I know that, for me I didn't even realize how *much* I needed this set, until I had it.

Jinny's created this wonderful nautical stationery set for her brother. Let's face it. Men are not great at remembering any occasion, much less to send a card. So this all-purpose set would be a great gift, whether they're late, or on time...whether it's a thank you note, or a birthday wish. Include the envelopes and a set of stamps...and they really have not excuse! LOL

They look so pretty all tied up with twine.

Jinny has more details and photos of these projects to share with you. Be sure to let her know that you stopped by!

A great big thanks to Jinny for all of the creativity and inspiration over the last couple of days. And thanks to all of you for joining us. Be sure to check back in just a bit, as we have a double feature today. Hannah will be joining us for her first round of projects shortly!

See you soon!

Dockside with Jinny Newlin

Hey, hey, today is your lucky day because Jinny Newlin is back to feature the Dockside collection! She's got a couple of amazing projects to share with us and I get the privilege of sharing them with you.

First up? This super fun, not to mention creative, little number. A pocketful of nautical fun!

From the amazing background stamping to the little details like the seagulls and anchor button, this card is A.MAZ.ING!

Her next card is equally as awesome. Talk about using layers to perfection. I am always intrigued by the way Jinny uses each layer of her design in a meaningful way. Each element adds to the overall finished design, yet nothing becomes distracting or over embellished.

Fanciful Feathers with Jinny Newlin

Today Jinny Newlin is joining us to share some inspiration featuring Fanciful Feathers. She has a completely different take on this set than I've seen thus far and I'm excited to feature her projects today.

Her first card is a beautiful display of how amazing the Fanciful Feathers Companion Die looks when cut from watercolor paper and watercolored.

Next up, she's showing off how beautifully this set can be used as an accent. The patterned paper she's chosen with hot air balloons works wonderfully with the feathers and the sentiments from Fanciful Feathers. I love the way she's created such perfect balance by her precise arrangement of elements and color placement.
